Classy rooftop- Saffron Restaurant

It was a date with mum on our special day (read Women`s Day)! As daddy was home, we had to make it quick.
Saffron, Chinchwad link road (Opposite Pradeep Sweets) was our dinner place for March 8, 2017.

Started with chicken pahadi kebabs – succulent barbeque chicken kebabs with mint chutney was a good start.

Pahadi Chicken Kebabs

The meat love is genetic, so it was hyderabadi mutton biryani – loaded with cashews, soft juicy mutton pieces and good quality rice- but the mixture of coriander & pudina leaves with garam masala wasn’t up to the mark. I had a similar experience with their chicken biryani.

Biryani

Biryani makes me happy, well it does to so many of us and this wasn’t great.
Sipped sweet lassi with the meal which was thick and nice.

  • What I liked:
Ambience- One of the only rooftop restaurants in this side of the town.Personally I love roof top restaurants.
Staff- Due to the special occasion today, it was super crowded. Though delivery took sometime, but the staff was extremely kind and attentive.
    Kebabs are good.
  • What can improve:
Revisit your biryani preparation I am confident there is scope of improvement.
Chunks of mutton in the biryani should be more.
Start taking prior reservations, not sure if it’s done presently- much needed!

I would like to try their buffet menu.
